TCIL organized sapling planting and a Rally taken out to aware people on World Environment Day – 5th June 2008.

Saplings were planted at large at the Tinplate Company of India Limited and its residential areas on the occasion of World Environment Day on Thursday, 5th June 2008.

TCIL organized sapling planting programme near the Tinplate Evening Club. Chief Guest on the occasion A.T.Mishra, Divisional Forest Officer Dhalbhum, planted saplings to begin the proceedings. A K Ghosh GM(Operations), B N Das, Chief (Commercial Services), Appal Raju, Deputy President Tinplate Worker’s Union, General Secretary S D Tripathy along with several management and union officials were also present on the occasion.

Saplings of various categories were planted during the programme organized under the joint aegis of the company pollution control and Administration department. TCIL organizes plantation programme every year to celebrate World Environment Day.

A Rally was also taken out by the Tinplate Community Development Center to aware people of the importance of the day.

Tinplate Worker’s Union senior Vice President Raja Singh and Savio Rebello, Sr. Manager (HRM) flagged off the rally.
