TCIL organized sapling planting  on World Environment Day – 5th June 2010.

Saplings were planted at large at the Tinplate Company of India Limited as on the occasion of World Environment Day on Friday, 5th June 2010.

TCIL organized sapling planting programme,  A.T.Mishra, Divisional Forest Officer Dhalbhum, Vijay Kumar Singh SDM, Jamshedpur, A K Sinha, City DSP, B L Raina, Chairman, JUSCO, and Director-TCIL, Rakeshwar Pandey  President Tinplate Worker’s Union, Tarun Daga, MD,  Ujjwal Kumar,VP(CS), Appal Raju, Deputy President Tinplate Worker’s Union, General Secretary S D Tripathy along with several management and union officials were also present on the occasion.

Saplings of various categories were planted during the programme organised , TCIL organizes plantation programme every year to celebrate World Environment Day.

The entire month will witness many such activities to create awareness to the theme of " Combat climate change".
