Asian Steel Packaging Conference -at Shangri – La Hotel in Kuala Lumpur
23-24 September
Located at the heart of the ASEAN Region, the Asian
Steel Packaging conference attracted those interested in understanding
the key commercial and technical developments in the tinplate and steel
packaging industries and companies wishing to understand opportunities
emerging in this growing region.
The seminar took place at the Shangri – La Hotel in
Kuala Lumpur 23-24 September. A total of 16 presentations took place
over two days while the exhibition featured leading South East Asia’s
Tinplate can makers and suppliers.
Keynote speaker Mr. Tarun Daga, MD, TCIL gave an
overview on the India’s packaging industry. He started with the global
packaging industry vis-ŕ-vis the Indian tinplate market. Further he also
mentioned the varied needs, wants, behavior, expectations of our
customers including the packaging demand & growth in India . Mr. Daga
also spoke about the need for greater promotion along with the key
issues confronting the tinplate/can making industry which include:
Consumer needs, Innovation, Legislation and climatic change concerns.
