It was a moment of great pride & honour for the company,
to be bestowed with the CII-EXIM Prize on 6th Nov’08 at
the recently held CII Quality Summit in Bangalore, which
is seen as an exemplary achievement in the business
fraternity. The activities in Business Excellence month
is aimed at promoting team spirit and creating awareness
about the future challenges of the company. A host of
events that were organized, in alignment with the
business theme, included the Sit and Draw competition
for children, Quiz competition, Speech competition,
Housekeeping competition, Suggestion Mela and Poster
competition. More than 400 children participated in the
‘Sit and Draw’ competition held at Nicco Park on the
16th of November 2008. The Quiz competition witnessed
close finishes while Speech competition and Poster
competition offered a canvas to its employees from all
levels(executive, officer & unionized), who could
articulate and paint their thoughts on customer
centricity and sustainability. The message for these
events was loud and clear - The Company must lead the
industry in terms of what it does i.e value creation,
not only in business but also as a corporate citizen and
as a participant in the country’s growth.
Needless to say that high performance drivers mean
focusing on customers, setting clear directions, valuing
people and partners; constantly innovating; and having a
strong results orientation.
In the concluding ceremony that followed on the 29th of
November 2008, all awardees were recognized in the
General Office Auditorium. Many employees and their
children, who had played a distinctive role in the
events organized; marking the excellence journey of the
company, were awarded.
Congratulations to all the award winners of Business
Excellence 2008 celebration
