CII Roundtable Interaction with Corporate Sectors, Institutions & NGOs
on ‘Corporate Engagement with Disability’ on January 12, 2007 at the Telegraph Room, Kolkata, organized by CII, Eastern Region.
Speaking on the occasion, Mr Bushen Raina, MD, TCIL and Chairman CII Eastern Region, said that CII has been leading the campaign in India to create employment opportunities for the differently abled persons. Recently in Kolkata, CII has constituted a Forum for the inclusion of the differently abled persons comprising members from the corporate, civil society, Government of West Bengal and academia. The objective of this forum is to educate and sensitize the corporates on the enormity of the problem and create awareness of the need as well as advantage in employing the differently abled persons and also to motivate the industry to employ more differently abled persons.
