TCIL Bags CII-EXIM Bank Award for "Commendation Certification for Significant Achievement"
TCIL has won the second-level recognition of "Commendation Certification for Significant Achievement" and was awarded the CII-EXIM Bank Award for Business Excellence 2006 on November 16, 2006, at the inaugural session of the 16th National Quality summit held at Bangalore.
The assessment team was led by Mr P D Pal. The other members of the team were from varied industries such as BHEL, Coromondal Fertilizers, NTPC AND SAIL.
Mr. B L Raina, Managing Director, TCIL and Mr Tarun Daga, Chief Operating Officer received the Commendation Award from Mr. R. Seshasayee, President of CII.
Prizes are awarded in several categories to organisations that demonstrate excellence in the management of Quality as their fundamental process for continuous improvement. The categories are: 'Strong Commitment to Excellence' (401-500), 'Significant Achievement' (501-600), and the 'CII-Exim Bank Award' (above 600).
