TCIL certified under ISO:22000 - 2005 - Food
Safety Management System
ISO 22000 2005 standard specifies requirements
for Food
Safety Management System where an organization in the food chain
needs to demonstrate its ability to control food safety hazards in
order to ensure that food is safe at the time of human consumption.
The food chain consists of the entire sequence of stages and
operations involved in the creation and consumption of food
products. This includes every step from initial production to final
consumption. More precisely, it includes the production, processing,
distribution, packaging, storage, and handling of all food and food
ingredients.
Since our company is in the business of
providing innovative packaging solution for processed edibles, Food
Safety Management System (FSMS) has been established. In this
regards, the Certification Audit of ISO 22000:2005 of TCIL was
conducted by BSI in two stages. The Stage I Audit was conducted on
18th February 2010 and the Stage II audit was conducted on 19th and
20th March 2010.
During these audits, it was observed by BSI
Auditors that TCIL has adequately established and documented a Food
Safety Management System in compliant with ISO 22000 Standard
Requirements. As a result, our company has been accredited with
ISO 22000:2005 Certification.
After certification to Food Safety Management
System, our customers and business partners will have even more
confidence that TCIL has an effective Food Safety Management System
in place and that food packed in our Tinplate Sheets will not cause
a risk to health to the consumers.
Congratulations
to entire TCIL team for this incredible achievement.
