Tinplate Company Felicitated For Active Promotion
Of TBEM
The Tinplate Company Of India Limited (TCIL) has
been felicitated for active promotion of the Tata Business Excellence Model (TBEM) as per
the assessment conducted 2003. Managing Director B.L.Raina received the award from the
Group Chairman Ratan Tata at a function marking the 9th JRD QV Award ceremony in Mumbai on
29th July 2003. The award was given for scoring more than 500 points out of a total
possible 1000 points.
The award was instituted in memory of Mr JRD Tata
whose passion for excellence in all facets of life was well known. The JRD QV awards seek
to commemorate his memory and spur Tata organisations to higher levels of performance.
It may be recalled that TCIL has been
continuously improving its performance under the TBEM assessment framework for the last 3
years. This award for excellence comes in at a time when the company has just declared a
1st quarter 03-04 profit performance of Rs 3 Crs against a total annual profit of Rs 2 Crs
during 2002-03 and is a tribute to the tremendous hard work of all its employees. |
